Discover the innovative Meta-Learning DeStress Method™ by Kohila Sivas, designed to help struggling students learn how to learn effectively. Learn about the scientific evidence supporting this method and how it can reprogram the brain for optimal learning.
The brain mapping conducted by Dr. Fannin yielded fascinating insights.
Red lines on the mapping represent faster brain waves, while blue lines indicate slower brain waves. These measurements were derived from the standard deviation scale, which provides a gauge for determining the deviation from normal.

Coherence and Amplitude: Unleashing Cognitive Potential
For our brains to comprehend the complexity of the world and make informed decisions, different regions must communicate and share information effectively. Coherence, the measure of connectivity between brain areas, and amplitude, the energy level of brain rhythms, play pivotal roles in optimizing cognitive function.
The brain mapping visuals below depict the brain activity of students engaged in a math task for 10 minutes, both without coaching and with the guidance of the Meta-Learning DeStress Method™.
Our team of Certified Learning Success Coaches undergo comprehensive training in this methodology. They guide students to enhance focus, reach a state of flow, and expand their working memory capacity.
Symmetrical Brain Wave Patterns for Enhanced Learning
Through its 'wholistic' engagement with students, the Meta-Learning DeStress Method™ has been proven to establish symmetrical brain wave patterns in both hemispheres. This balance facilitates greater access to mental and emotional resources, empowering students to teach themselves new information and develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. These are the fundamental building blocks for nurturing independent lifelong learners.
Red means it as a hyper coherence. In other words, there's too much activity. Think of it as a water pipe. When you have too much water going through it's going to put a lot of pressure on what's happening to the pipe itself. The blue is a hypo coherence. In other words, there is not much activity that's going on there. That's why we see it in the prefrontal cortex because our prefrontal cortex isn't that fully developed until age 22-25.
Amount of energy or the amplitude. Excitation or suppression of brain rhythms. Amplitude Asymmetry is like the volume on a speaker, red volume is too high, and information may become distorted and unintelligible. Blue indicates the volume is too low and the energy and information may not be understood as it is passed from cell to cell.
According to Dr. Fannin "Less anxiety, better performance." Meta-Learning DeStress Method™ creates the coherence and amplitude to change brain patterns which reduces anxiety and fear and enables students to focus and enter a flow state freeing up their working memory. This gives students the ability to focus on teaching themselves new information and skills. And that's why our students have such great results!
Our team of experienced coaches are all licensed teachers with many years of classroom experience. Many of our coaches possess a masters or Phd. To become a Wholistic NeuroGrowth Learning Success Coach, they must satisfy a certification process which equips them to work one on one with any child using the the Meta-Learning DeStress Methodology.
All our coaches thrive working outside the constraints of the education system, where they can focus on individual student success and fostering growth, confidence and a love of learning
